A lot was new in 2026: collaborations, rebranding, unique lodges, services for our guests, team members, markets. Whatever we did this year, we only had one thing in mind... how can we improve the experience of our guests? Find out what came out of that thought and how it benefits you.
Giraffe Manor Tanzania
We kicked things off with a bang: the opening of Giraffe Manor in Tanzania in January 2026. This unique lodge has settled on the picturesque Dolly Estate just outside Arusha and brings you close, closer, closest to African wildlife. Enjoy your breakfast with a giraffe grabbing a bite of your plate, relax at the beautiful pool watching elands, impala, zebra, and wildebeest graze in front of you and become a bird lover. It’s the perfect place to kick back after an exhilarating safari with delicious food and a drink during the African sunset everyone’s talking about.

It wasn’t necessarily a secret relationship à la Hollywood, but still, we made it public this year: Tanzania Specialist and Africa Safari Trips belong together. The sister brands have their operational roots in the Netherlands and both pursue the same mission of giving travellers the best African experience possible.

Sales Training Week
For four days, more than 100 team members from Tanzania Specialist and Africa Safari Trips came together in the newly opened Giraffe Manor Tanzania. No matter if sales, marketing, reservations or HR – they all brainstormed new concepts, exchanged ideas and discussed small and big changes, while planning safaris for their customers. What would usually take ten conference calls or 100 emails, was agreed upon within seven days.
Daily team building activities and drinks after work loosened up the high-speed days in a fun way and also brought the team closer together.
This is also how the following came into existence.

What’s to come?
Just because the year is coming to end, our hamster wheel doesn’t come to a stop. Quite the contrary: we have plenty of new ideas in the pipeline. After adding Italian to our language portfolio, the translation of our website into even more languages is on the African horizon. We’ll also bring a brain child of Tanzania Specialist and Africa Safari Trips to life, offering even more luxurious and unique travel experiences. And along the way, there will surely be many small and big changes making you (and us) go “wow”!
