What is the Hakuna Matata Package?

The Hakuna Matata Package is Tanzania Specialist’s complimentary support package, included with every tailor-made holiday. The included services provide assistance before and during your trip, including flexible payment options, support when unexpected situations affect your safari, and help adjusting your itinerary when necessary. Optional services such as travel insurance, VIP airport pickup, and a local SIM or eSIM are available at an additional cost.

Before your safari

A holiday begins way before you step out of the plane, and we want to make sure that you know what to expect.

 

Before your safari, you receive a detailed travel dossier with practical information about your route, accommodations, and activities. We also arrange airport pickup, and if your departure is more than 120 days away, you only need to pay 25% when booking. Of course, life happens, so if you need to cancel or postpone your trip, our clear and fair cancellation and refund policies explain your options. You can find them in our terms and conditions under point 5.3.

Book your flight through us, and it becomes part of your Hakuna Matata Package.

Should a flight get cancelled or delayed, we have your back.

Flight delay and cancellation support when booking your flight through Tanzania SpecialistWhen you book your international flight through Tanzania Specialist, flight disruption support becomes part of your Hakuna Matata Package. If your flight is cancelled or significantly delayed, we help arrange a suitable alternative, necessary accommodation, and adjustments to your itinerary. We also contact the airline on your behalf and pass on any refunds.

What support is available during your Tanzania safari?

When you’re out and about exploring the Tanzanian wonders, you might think, “What can go wrong?” With us, nothing. Even if it does.

 

During your safari, you travel in a well-maintained 4×4 vehicle with support from local bush garages and replacement vehicles if needed. Your professionally trained private guide stays with you throughout the journey, and our team is available 24/7 to assist with unexpected situations.

Exclusive add-ons

We work with many partners who have the same goal as us: make your holiday as worry-free as possible. Therefore, you can extend your Hakuna Matata Package with some exclusive add-ons. These are not included in your package and need to be paid separately (but they’re worth every penny).
