Your guide to Tanzania's wonders

I haven’t gone on the holiday yet but i had to write a review for those concerned. Alice has been frankly amazing in helping me plan this trip and constantly answering my questions and dealing with my indecisiveness on my trip. I couldn’t sing her praises enough to be honest. I hope to write another 5 star review once my holiday is complete and I’m home when I go in March!

What a fantastic holiday we have just returned from. The accommodation was first class, the safari - absolutely amazing. We have to give a massive thank you to our guide - Galgano who was incredible. He was spotting wildlife other guides missed, predicting the movement of elephant herds to get us in incredible positions for photo and viewing opportunities, was extremely knowledgable, friendly and just great fun to be around. The experience of lying in the 'tented' camp (in extreme luxury) at night listening to the wild animals outside was a dream come true. And wrapped up by a fantastic week in Zanzibar having some much needed R&R was the icing on the cake.

Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorogoro and so much more, wonderfull nature and culture seen and learn a lot during our safari! Some luck and” four plus one “: Our driver Mohamed Alli Leiyzar , lots of experience for more than 20 years as a driver guide. Seen a lot of animals, drivers were helpfull to each other , leads us to the big five , lots of birds, the great migration , inside details about the Masai tribe and so much more ! We booked a two-week vacation in Tanzania through Tanzania Specialist. After we sent our inquiry, we discussed our wishes and expectations via video conference and received a well-organized proposal a few days later. The accommodations were then checked for availability and reserved. We spent 9 days touring the national parks of Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and the Serengeti with Issa, our guide, and then spent another 4 days in Zanzibar. The trip was very well organized. The travel agency’s instructions for applying for the visa and for the mandatory insurance in Zanzibar are up-to-date and help you meet entry requirements and avoid surprises without having to spend a lot of time researching the details yourself. The national parks are truly impressive; each one is a little different, so it never gets boring. The vegetation, the landscape, and the wildlife are unique and varied in every park and definitely worth the trip. The accommodations varied widely. Some were very luxurious and built of solid construction, while others were simpler—such as tents that can be set up and taken down, or shipping containers converted into lodgings. In every place we stayed, we had the pleasant feeling that we were being well taken care of, and our requests or inquiries were always addressed very quickly. It’s definitely an exciting experience to spend the night near or inside a national park and to see and hear the animals right outside your door. The trip wouldn’t have been nearly as good without our guide, Issa. We always discussed the next day’s itinerary the night before and were able to incorporate special requests without any problems. On some days, when we wanted to see more, the itinerary was simply extended; on other days, when we were tired, it was adjusted on the spot accordingly. Issa drives the Jeep very well and smoothly, which made us feel safe at all times. With his cheerful and outgoing personality, he always puts you in a good mood. He knows many of the other guides, is always helpful, and has a wealth of experience, which means he gets a lot of information and allowed us to observe many animals up very close. He also handled all organizational aspects in the national parks and at the airport professionally. He speaks English and Spanish very well, which was very important and helpful for us. We thank Issa for the time we were able to spend with him, wish him continued success and all the best, and highly recommend him to other travelers.

We spent 7 days on safari followed by 3 days in Zanzibar. We covered four parks—Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. One thing to be aware of is that there is quite a bit of driving between the parks, much of it on gravel roads. Each park has its own unique character, and we enjoyed them all. Arusha is considerably smaller, lusher, and perhaps less spectacular than the others, but it offers the opportunity to go on a guided hike. Our trip was very well organized by Kira in TS's Danish office. Everything was taken care of, and TS was easy to reach with questions both before and during the trip. Everyone we dealt with through TS was friendly, reliable, and professional. Giraffe Manor near Arusha was a charming way to begin our trip, but the tented camps inside the national parks were the true highlight of the accommodation. The staff were friendly and welcoming everywhere we stayed. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our trip. Our safari guide, Tyson, was excellent. He drove tirelessly to ensure we experienced the best each park had to offer. We learned a lot about wildlife, Tanzanian culture, and he happily answered our many questions. His great personality and sense of humor made every day enjoyable, and the long drives were never a problem. Zanzibar offers a very different experience. We stayed at a beach resort, but the strong tides mean you can't spend the entire day on the beach in the way you might in destinations such as Greece. On the other hand, it's fascinating to explore the seabed at low tide. We booked a couple of excursions through TS's Zanzibar office (Stone Town, snorkling), and both were excellent, although they were on the expensive side. It's probably worth comparing prices with excursion providers recommended by the resort before booking.

Amazing experience with Tanzania Specialist! I planned this 2 years ago and it was definitely worth the wait! Our guide Jordan was amazing! Ask for him!!! You won’t be disappointed! Very informative, terrific eye sight for spotting animals, and just a great guy! We went luxury style and each hotel and experience was amazing! So was the food! The 4 parks we visited, for 7 days, were awesome and we had many up close and personal animal experiences! My favorites were the Lions! Dream come true! Highly recommend using Tanzania Specialist for your Safari! And ask for Jordan!

My brother and I traveled with Tanzania Specialist from May 13–24, 2026, and had an unforgettable experience. Our trip included the Meru Waterfalls, Arusha Snake Park and Maasai Museum, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro parks, plus time in Zanzibar. Everything was incredibly well organized, smooth, and comfortable from start to finish. Our guide, Makalo, was an absolute gem — such a kind, knowledgeable, and fun person to spend six days with. He went above and beyond to tailor the experience for my brother and me, making sure we had the best opportunities to see wildlife and capture amazing photos and videos. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the food was consistently delicious throughout the trip. A special shout-out as well to the staff at Sounds of Silence — they were absolutely incredible and made our stay extra memorable. May turned out to be a fantastic time to visit Tanzania: cooler weather, fewer crowds, and only a bit of rain. We were lucky enough to catch the end of the Great Migration in the Serengeti and see so many baby animals! I would 100% recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone looking for a seamless, personalized, and truly memorable trip to Tanzania!

We’re on our way home from two weeks in Tanzania. Ten days safari and four in Zanzibar we’ve had the most incredible time. Tanzania Specialists satisfied from A to Z, from our first enquiry to every other detail from arrival to departure. Our driver Spear amongst all the other staff was absolutely exceptional as a guide, historian and driver. His knowledge of the wildlife was outstanding with many funny stories. This trip of a lifetime has delivered on that promise, with not only the big five but a vast array of animals and birds. The hotel selection was excellent the Serengeti Sounds of Silence and the Park Hyatt Zanzibar were standouts in a five star list. Awesome views, private pools and excellent all round service was constant at all the accommodation. I would recommend Tanzania Specialists to anyone interested in an African trip.

Our trip organized by Tanzania Specialist was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the first contact while planning the trip to the final day, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Their team was responsive, knowledgeable, and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. The safari portion of the trip was absolutely incredible. Visiting Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater exceeded all our expectations. Each park offered something unique—from the majestic elephant herds in Tarangire to the endless wildlife and stunning landscapes of the Serengeti. Our guide, Makalo, was fantastic!!! Extremely knowledgeable, patient, an excellent driver and passionate about wildlife, made every game drive exciting and memorable. Ending the trip with a few relaxing days in Zanzibar was the perfect way to finish the adventure. The beautiful beaches, warm ocean, and laid-back atmosphere were exactly what we needed after the excitement of the safari. Everything—from accommodations to transportation and daily planning—was perfectly organized. We felt well taken care of the entire time. What an adventure! We went to Tanzania on our honeymoon and had such a positive experience! Tanzania Specialist were very adequate and professional from the start of our enquiry and we felt confident that they were the right choice for our trip. Albert from the office took a personal approach to look into all our requirements and preferences and booked us in promptly as per our wishes adding a few useful recommendations on the way. Upon arrival we were met by our key person - Frank and spent the following 7-8 days in his company - going on safaris in Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks and the Ngoro Ngoro conservation area and the crater. This guy was a brilliant guide and we had the luck to have him all for ourselves, as there were no other tourists with the same itinerary that week. Frank demonstrated exceptional competence about all species we saw during the safaris, knew his ways around the parks perfectly and his super friendly and humble attitude impressed us deeply. He is a real gem for the company! The places we stayed at were all incredible! Such comfort and authenticity everywhere - at each of the hotels and lodges and some amazing food too - especially in the Sound of Silence Lodge in Serengeti! The next part of our trip - in Zanzibar was no worse either, although rather different - after the busy days of safari, we had the chance to relax completely in the Fun Beach Resort on the coast of the Indian ocean enjoying a lovely huge pool and the perfect sunny weather. Our key person there - Ali also added to the positive experience we had - he proved as highly reliable and professional throughout our stay, accommodating all our requests promptly and with a friendly approach. Highly recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone looking to experience the unforgettable adventure Tanzania has to offer!
