The absolute trip of a lifetime. We had the best 8 days across 4 national parks: Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Followed by 5 nights in Zanzibar. Our guide (whose brilliance I can’t even describe with words) was Jamal Lupola, and he went above and beyond at every opportunity to make our safari experience exciting and to see as many animals as possible. He was able to share so much knowledge about all the animals, plants, people and places we saw along the way - always with a smile and a joke in there somewhere too! If you do decide to book with Tanzania Specialist, do request Jamal Lupola - he made our trip the mind-blowing experience that it was. The accommodation was always fantastic, our particular highlights were the camping lodges in the Serengeti, and every member of staff we met wherever we went were so happy to help. The Tanzanian people are absolutely wonderful. The organisation of the trip before we went was easy and specialists were easy to contact via WhatsApp or email and we were able to tweak our itinerary to exactly what we wanted. Quick response times too. Can’t recommend this company enough. Truly the best holiday we’ve ever had. Will 100% be coming back with Tanzania Specialist in the future.

Our family holiday was very unforgettable! Our first time in Africa. We have seen the Big Five and the Ugly Five and munch more!! Our guide was fantastic! His stories, patience and his skills door finding the animals are great memories! Zanzibar was relaxing.

We recently spent 5 days on a private safari with Tanzania Specialists visiting Tarangire, Seregente and Ngorongoro Crater. What an experience! We got to see so many animals including elephants, giraffes, cheetahs and many many more. If you‘d ask me what my highlight of this trip was, it was our guides Hassan and Walter. What amazing guys! Hassan has an outstanding knowledge about the animals, the nature but even the history of Tanzania and we’ve learnt so many new things. Walter is an excellent driver with over 16 years of experience. We are passionate photographers and every time we saw something, Walter managed to find the perfect position to capture the best pictures. During our 5 days we also shared meals together, talked about all kinds of things and it felt like we knew them for a much longer time. A big big thank you to Hassan, Walter and the entire Tanzania Specialist team for giving us memoriers that‘ll stay forever! Absolutely worth 5-Stars!!!🙏

We had the most amazing trip, far exceeding our expectations thanks not only the excellent accomodation and routes planned, but our driver and guide George Malley was incredible and he really made our safari so so special. He gave us so much insight into the animals, but also into Tanzania and local customs, cultures and tribes - which give us much more understanding of the country we were visiting. He also knew what were the best times to spot certain animals and was a super good spotter, we saw so many animals including the big 5. We also added the balloon tour and a mountain bike ride through a local village - both highly recommended. After the safari, we went to Zanzibar. In hindsight, 5 days on a beach resort was a bit too much for us and we ended up booking a hotel ourselves in Stone Town, as the resort was very far (on the nicer side of the island) from any sightseeing spots. The only thing I would have changed in our safari itinerary is a night in Ngorogoro itself, so we could drive out early to have more chances to spot rhinos. After the incredible friendliness on the mainland, Zanzibar was a bit disappointing with people harassing us every 5 min, both while walking on the beaches as through Stone Town and getting verbally aggressive if we ask them to leave us alone. Someone literally told us to "go back to our country" after asking him to stop, after following us and calling us "sweetie". Obviously not Tanzania Specialists' fault, but to keep in mind while planning because after our Zanzibar experience we would have preferred to skip it all together - unless you plan on staying in a resort the whole time (in that case, get full board). Our booking process was a bit slow, with often 1-3 days of delay between us asking questions to our rep, Ibrahim which made us feel initially unsure about the holiday, and we at some point worried whether the company was genuine. In the end our safari was excellent - but it seems the reps are extremely busy. It would have been nice to just get an acknowledgement of our queries - even without immediate response - rather than silence as it made it us quite stressed. Overall this was an incredible trip, we had an amazing safari and highly recommend the company. They're also growing a lot and present everywhere, which gives them access to knowing the best lodges and spots.

Our group traveled in two safari vehicles, and we were with Sharif, so we got to experience his guiding firsthand. He was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, always taking the time to explain fascinating details about the wildlife and local culture. His passion for his work was evident every single day. At the same time, both Sharif and Frankie worked together with one goal in mind: helping our group fulfill our dream of seeing the Big Five. Their dedication, teamwork, and expertise made it possible, and we were thrilled to see all five animals. It was a truly unforgettable moment that we’ll never forget. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, from the excellent organization to the unforgettable safari and the beautiful, relaxing time in Zanzibar. Amazing experience with Tanzania Specialist! I planned this 2 years ago and it was definitely worth the wait! Our guide Jordan was amazing! Ask for him!!! You won’t be disappointed! Very informative, terrific eye sight for spotting animals, and just a great guy! We went luxury style and each hotel and experience was amazing! So was the food! The 4 parks we visited, for 7 days, were awesome and we had many up close and personal animal experiences! My favorites were the Lions! Dream come true! My brother and I traveled with Tanzania Specialist from May 13–24, 2026, and had an unforgettable experience. Our trip included the Meru Waterfalls, Arusha Snake Park and Maasai Museum, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro parks, plus time in Zanzibar. Everything was incredibly well organized, smooth, and comfortable from start to finish. Our guide, Makalo, was an absolute gem — such a kind, knowledgeable, and fun person to spend six days with. He went above and beyond to tailor the experience for my brother and me, making sure we had the best opportunities to see wildlife and capture amazing photos and videos. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the food was consistently delicious throughout the trip. A special shout-out as well to the staff at Sounds of Silence — they were absolutely incredible and made our stay extra memorable. May turned out to be a fantastic time to visit Tanzania: cooler weather, fewer crowds, and only a bit of rain. We were lucky enough to catch the end of the Great Migration in the Serengeti and see so many baby animals! I would 100% recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone looking for a seamless, personalized, and truly memorable trip to Tanzania!

We’re on our way home from two weeks in Tanzania. Ten days safari and four in Zanzibar we’ve had the most incredible time. Tanzania Specialists satisfied from A to Z, from our first enquiry to every other detail from arrival to departure. Our driver Spear amongst all the other staff was absolutely exceptional as a guide, historian and driver. His knowledge of the wildlife was outstanding with many funny stories. This trip of a lifetime has delivered on that promise, with not only the big five but a vast array of animals and birds. The hotel selection was excellent the Serengeti Sounds of Silence and the Park Hyatt Zanzibar were standouts in a five star list. Awesome views, private pools and excellent all round service was constant at all the accommodation. I would recommend Tanzania Specialists to anyone interested in an African trip.
