Our guide, Issa, was also a 10/10. He was always helpful and flexible, allowing us to choose our own schedules. Thanks to his expert knowledge and amazing driving skills, we managed to see the Big Five! Issa made sure we had the best experience possible. From the beginning stages all the way through to the very last minute the family adventure of our dreams was flawless. Our advisor George was prompt to respond and assist us in tailoring our trip, he was reliable and listened to our wants and needs and was readily available for emails and calls. Along with reliable support from the team on the website we had zero issues or concerns. Then on arrival, our safari guide Abdul took over and both met and exceeded our expectations with knowledge, expertise, care, guidance, advice and readiness to go above and beyond to seek out and experience the beauty that is Tanzania. He was a wealth of knowledge on all subjects. He was prompt and always on time and was courteous when our "pole pole" / "slowly slowly" (in Swahili) not so timely 9 year old ran us late most mornings. Our Tanzania safari was nothing short of extraordinary—truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamlessly organized by Tanzania Specialists. The lodges, food & people were incredibly kind & caring. We visited Tarangire National park, Serengeti National park & Ngorongoro national park then flew to Zanzibar to relax after an action packed safari experience. It was the perfect trip! Some highlights were seeing the Big Five in their natural habitat. Watching a pride of lions lounging in the sun, spotting elephant herds up close, (these were my favourite & Chris our guide stopped every time for me. He was so kind & patient!) and catching a glimpse of a leopard resting in a tree felt surreal. A Cheetah jumped on the jeep next to us which was incredibly cool to be so close! Chris always reassured us on our safety. Seeing rhinos and buffalo in such breathtaking surroundings completed an unforgettable adventure. The landscapes were just as incredible as the wildlife, the sunsets & finally the people make the trip. Our guide Chris deserves his own paragraph! He was knowledgeable, passionate, and had an amazing eye for spotting animals we would have otherwise missed. He has super vision. I cannot recommend him enough! If you are going on safari with Tanzania Specialists, please ask for Chris- you will not regret it. His spoke 5 different languages & his English was perfect! He now even has a few words As Gaeilge for his future Irish visitors. Regrettably, I had an accident just before my wedding in December 2025 resulting in a broken ankle & a crushed heel, I am still recovering so I get tired easily & experience pain frequently, Chris was patient, kind & so attentive. Anywhere we went he was always taking it slow, reminding me to be careful & helping whenever I needed. He always walked around the jeep to close my door once inside. He was such a gentleman. He talked about the land, & the animals, he thought us so much we did not expect to learn. He knew when we got tired & offered to go back to the camp or lodge. He was just incredible & truly an assist to this company. I couldn’t recommend a Tanzania safari more & Zanzibar for a few days after safari to rest, relax & enjoy the white sandy beaches. Our recent tour in Tanzania with Tanzania Specialist was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, making the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and truly unforgettable. A special thank you goes to Veronica, who handled our booking. She was fantastic, always available to answer any questions, no matter how small. Her communication was excellent, and she ensured we had all the information we needed at every stage. Her attention to detail and dedication really stood out, and she created a stunning itinerary that exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation throughout our trip was equally impressive. Each lodge offered its own unique charm, while consistently delivering comfort and luxury: Under the Shade Lodge was beautiful, even though we only stayed one night. Having our own private pool was such a treat, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Sound of Silence tents were a true highlight and a must-do safari experience. The tents were both luxurious and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Manyara Best View offered breathtaking scenery, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff who made us feel completely at home. Of course, the safari itself was the highlight of our trip, made even more extraordinary by our phenomenal guide, Penuel. To say he made our experience perfect would be an understatement, we truly could not recommend him more highly. From the very beginning, Penuel’s warmth, humour, and energy set the tone for an unforgettable journey. He didn’t just guide us, he elevated the entire experience. Every game drive felt exciting and full of anticipation because of him. He treated us like family, showing genuine care and attention throughout. We always felt safe, comfortable, and well looked after, with him regularly checking in to ensure everything was just right. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he handled every request with ease and a smile. His knowledge was exceptional. From wildlife and ecosystems to local tribes and the history of the parks, he brought every moment to life with fascinating insights and stories. Each sighting became more meaningful because of his expertise. What made the experience even more special was how naturally he connected with everyone, especially our children. He was patient, engaging, and made sure they were just as involved and excited as we were. His passion is truly contagious, and it’s clear he genuinely loves what he does. After our safari, we travelled to Zanzibar and stayed at Legendary Beach Resort. The resort is stunning, with a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful layout, private pool, and a peaceful beach. The staff were exceptional, friendly, attentive, and always going above and beyond. The manager regularly checked in with guests, which added a personal touch to our stay. The food was consistently delicious, with excellent starters and a great breakfast selection. Despite a large group staying briefly, the resort never felt crowded and maintained its calm, exclusive feel. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well maintained, with thoughtful touches like evening turndown service. The facilities, including the gym and games room, were also excellent. We couldn’t fault a thing and would absolutely stay here again on a return visit to Zanzibar. Overall, this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Tanzania Specialist delivered a seamless, luxurious, and unforgettable experience. If you’re considering a safari, we cannot recommend them highly enough and if you can, be sure to request Penuel as your guide. He will make your experience truly extraordinary.

Outstanding safari experience with Jonas – truly unforgettable. We’ve just returned from the most incredible safari experience with Tanzania Specialist, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our safari guide, Jonas, was the absolute highlight of the trip. From day one, he felt like a big brother — truly family. He was incredibly attentive, always made sure we were in the right place at the right time, and his communication throughout was excellent. It was just me, my partner, and Jonas for the entire week in our private vehicle, which made the experience even more special and personal. Before the trip even began, Fanny took care of our booking and was fantastic — clear, friendly, and responsive communication via both email and WhatsApp. To make things more challenging, Air France unfortunately left our luggage behind in Paris. On arrival in Tanzania, we were met by Mr Brown from Tanzania Specialist, who went well out of his way to help us get essential items and make sure we were comfortable despite the situation. A huge thank you also to Riziki from Tanzania Specialist, who worked behind the scenes to arrange for our missing luggage to be flown on a small aircraft and delivered to the local airport in Arusha — all while we were already out on safari. That level of care and coordination was truly impressive. Now for the main course — the safari itself. WOW. It was absolutely spectacular. Jonas made sure we saw everything we could possibly hope for, all while keeping the atmosphere relaxed, fun, and full of laughs. His informal banter, deep knowledge, and genuine passion made every day unforgettable. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy at all times. All of the hotels and lodges were excellent, comfortable, and well chosen. This trip exceeded every expectation. If you’re considering a safari, Tanzania Specialist — and especially Jonas — will give you an experience you’ll never forget.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience using Tanzania Specialist for our recent Tanzania adventure! From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised and completely stress-free. It was so comforting knowing that all our transfers were arranged and that there was always a driver ready to take us to our next destination. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guides were professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and always focused on our safety and success. They made the trek so much fun, and we loved every minute of it. Some of the highlights included watching the sun rise and set above the clouds, being introduced to our support crew through song and dance, and, of course, the excitement of summiting Mount Kilimanjaro. Our support crew of porters and chef were incredible and made the journey both comfortable and memorable. The food on the trek was delicious and filling, keeping us well fuelled for the climb. After the climb, we went on safari, which was perfectly planned to fit the amount of time we had. We stayed at amazing lodges and enjoyed breathtaking wildlife sightings. We saw far more than we expected, and our guide’s expertise really brought the experience to life. He was extremely knowledgeable and always had an answer to our many questions. A standout highlight was our early morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, where we spotted animals from above and truly appreciated the vastness of the endless plains. From the sky, we saw packs of lions, which we later tracked down with our guide once back on the ground-an incredibly cool experience. Ending the trip in Zanzibar was the perfect way to finish, with a mix of relaxation and culture, beautiful beaches, and well-arranged accommodations. Communication throughout the entire trip was clear and reliable, and it was obvious that the company genuinely cares about their guests and the quality of their experiences. We felt well looked after every step of the way and would highly recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone looking to climb Kilimanjaro, go on safari, and enjoy Zanzibar. It was an outstanding trip we will never forget!

What an adventure! We went to Tanzania on our honeymoon and had such a positive experience! Tanzania Specialist were very adequate and professional from the start of our enquiry and we felt confident that they were the right choice for our trip. Albert from the office took a personal approach to look into all our requirements and preferences and booked us in promptly as per our wishes adding a few useful recommendations on the way. Upon arrival we were met by our key person - Frank and spent the following 7-8 days in his company - going on safaris in Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks and the Ngoro Ngoro conservation area and the crater. This guy was a brilliant guide and we had the luck to have him all for ourselves, as there were no other tourists with the same itinerary that week. Frank demonstrated exceptional competence about all species we saw during the safaris, knew his ways around the parks perfectly and his super friendly and humble attitude impressed us deeply. He is a real gem for the company! The places we stayed at were all incredible! Such comfort and authenticity everywhere - at each of the hotels and lodges and some amazing food too - especially in the Sound of Silence Lodge in Serengeti! The next part of our trip - in Zanzibar was no worse either, although rather different - after the busy days of safari, we had the chance to relax completely in the Fun Beach Resort on the coast of the Indian ocean enjoying a lovely huge pool and the perfect sunny weather. Our key person there - Ali also added to the positive experience we had - he proved as highly reliable and professional throughout our stay, accommodating all our requests promptly and with a friendly approach. Highly recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone looking to experience the unforgettable adventure Tanzania has to offer!

We cannot say enough good things about how AMAZING our experience in Africa was & it wouldn’t have been possible without the Tanzania Specialist! From their travel agents to safari guides to lodging staff we were delightfully overwhelmed with how amazing this team was. Our travel agent helped curate both our safari itinerary and beach itinerary exactly to what my husband and I wanted for our honeymoon. They informed us about what to pack, what to wear, cultural aspects to be mindful of, specific rules of the country, arranged all our travel transfers (safari guides, airport pickups, extra excursion travel, etc.) and made the entire trip so easy. From the moment we stepped off the plane to the moment we got dropped back off, the Tanzania Specialist had us covered. Our safari guide, Innocent, became a friend not just a tour guide. He was so informative about the general culture, the animals, the parks, the best places to spot animals and got us positioned perfectly anytime we spotted anything. He was very easy to communicate with, every morning he picked us up he & the truck were cleaned up and ready for action, we loved how excited he was for the adventure he took us on everyday. We hope when we come back in a few years that we can have him guide us again! You absolutely have to book the hot air balloon ride of the Serengeti, it was truly surreal and a magical way to get a totally different view of the safari. Worth every single extra penny! The specialists packed us lunches for our safaris everyday which were great! Loads of food and tons of options, each lodge’s staff were so friendly & ready to help with whatever we needed. Each lodge also did an amazing job at really celebrating our honeymoon & making it feel special with beautiful decorations in our room each day when we returned, it was so sweet! In zanzibar our room was setup with champagne & fruit plate which was so special. We really want to thank the whole team for every part of our once in a lifetime adventure and a beautiful honeymoon!
