8 DAYS TANZANIA DIAMOND-LUXURY – FLYING SAFARI!

This holiday will make you feel like you’re flying because… you actually will be! Instead of long drives, short plane rides will take you from one Tanzanian highlight to the next. Not only will this add a little spark to your East African safari experience, but you’ll also benefit from this:

  1. You’ll spend less time travelling and more time exploring.
  2. Marvel at the stunning landscapes of world-famous national parks like the Serengeti from above.
  3. No waiting at the gate, you can board as soon as you get to the airport.
  4. Relax in luxurious Diamond class lodges.

We are more than happy to plan your 8 days Flying Safari with and for you and are looking forward to welcoming you in Tanzania soon.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Tanzania Specialist guide greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!

Day 2: Local lunch in Mto wa Mbu (optional cooking class)

Discover the Tanzanian way of cooking, smack in the middle of a banana farm. Pick three local dishes and see and learn how they are prepared. Learn to cook pilau (spiced rice), makande (corn and brown beans in a lovely mix) or ndizi nyama (plaintains with meat), and get a taste of Tanzania!

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - luxury style!

Lake Manyara National Park is an ideal place for a scenic safari, with landscapes such as acacia woodlands, jungle forests, mountain cliffs, and grassy areas. Its biodiversity makes it home to the amazing tree-climbing lions, but also to a variety of other animal species such as baboons, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and many more.

Day 4: Gibb's Farm walk & lunch

Gibb's Farm offers the old-age rhythm of an African farm and coffee plantation, right on the slopes of Ngorongoro Highlands. Walk around on this sanctuary of peace and tranquility, and watch vegetables being harvested, coffee roasted, cows milked, and pigs fed. The vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and herbs provide inspiration for the farm's chefs, who in their turn amaze visitors with a delicious lunch. A little piece of heaven!

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater - luxury style!

Today you descend into the wonderous caldera of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This is THE day to start your game drive early when animals are plenty and tourists few! Feel the little hairs on your arms rise as you descend into the crater, awed by the sight of clouds hovering and the numerous animals in sight. Coyotes, hyenas, buffaloes, wildebeests, gazelles, and many more animals can be found here and you are almost guaranteed to see them all.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park luxury style - by plane!

Fly into the mind-blowing beautiful Serengeti National Park for the epitome of safari. See the infamous Big Five in all their glory, and, in certain months, wildebeests running by the thousands in the Great Migration. And even without that; this is big-cat-paradise with prides of lions on kopjes, cheetahs in the long, yellow grass, and leopards in trees. You arrive in time for an amazing afternoon game drive into the sunset.

Day 7: Hot air balloon flight in Serengeti

A balloon safari in the iconic Serengeti National Park will make your Tanzania safari a memorable experience. You rise at sunrise and gently fly over the endless plains of the Serengeti. The hot air balloon floats at treetop height above the baobabs and acacias so that you can see the animals nearby. Watching the wildlife below from your balloon is a fascinating and peaceful experience that comes with breathtaking panoramic views.

Day 8: Flight to Arusha (incl.) & transfer to Kilimanjaro Int. Airport (JRO) for your flight home

After an amazing safari adventure, you take a plane back to Arusha, after which you are transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight home.
