Whether you choose one of our popular Tanzania itineraries or prefer to customize your journey, we are here to assist you. Come aboard and get ready to explore Tanzania at your own pace, exactly the way you like it!

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Tanzania Specialist guide greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!

Day 2: Mkomazi - Mbula Rhino Sanctuary

The Mbula Rhino Sanctuary lies within the boundaries of Mkomazi National Park, where it is home to over 35 rhinos, and their numbers are growing. The rhinos were reintroduced to Mkomazi in the 1990s and visitors can enter the sanctuary in an open safari vehicle of the national park, together with a ranger. This ranger knows precisely where the rhinos are and will do his best to arrange an encounter. Don't be surprised if these majestic animals walk straight to your car!

Day 3: Western Usambara Mountains

The Usambara Mountains are a lush green mountain range south of Mkomazi National Park, with a cool climate that is ideal for hikes. Walks take you over sweeping hills, along waterfalls, farmland, plantations, picturesque villages and colourful markets, with the most amazing views almost everywhere you go. During the hike with a guide, you will see all sorts of flowers, butterflies, chameleons, and fruit trees and enjoy the view over the outstretched plains just beyond these mountains. You sleep in one of the area's highest hotels: Mambo View Point.

Day 4 - 5: Usambara Mountains - Magoroto Forest Estate

The Magoroto Forest Estate lies 850 meters above sea level and is part of the Eastern Usambara Mountains. It’s known for its beautiful campground near an amazingly still freshwater lake surrounded by dense tropical rainforests. On your first day, you hike along one of Magoroto’s hiking trails to the waterfalls. The day after you entertain yourself with activities such as boat rides, swimming, fishing, bird watching, hiking, horse riding, or mountain biking!

Day 6 - 8: Saadani National Park

Saadani National Park is a small national park on the coast between Dar es Salaam and Tanga. It's the only national park on the coast of East Africa and the only place where you go on safari during the day, only to relax in a tropical beach setting afterward. Spot waterbucks, gazelles, giraffes, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles, baboons, and, with a bit more luck, elephants, lions, and leopards during the safari by car, on foot, or by boat!

Day 9 - 10: Flight home from Dar es Salaam (DAR)

The last day! Enjoy the final moments of your holiday, before our driver picks you up and drives you to Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam for your flight home. Having second thoughts? Extending your holiday to paradise islands, such as Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia is also possible!
