Visit the islands near Unguja Ukuu

Unguja Ukuu is a village in the south of Zanzibar, way off the popular tourist radar, where you can hop on a boat to the peaceful and uninhabited islands of Mimi and Nianembe in the protected Menai Bay. This is a private, full-day excursion in a traditional (but motorized) dhow. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the islands and you might even spot some dolphins along the way. Once there you can make a stroll, go snorkeling and enjoy the best lunch of freshly caught fish!
