Visit the Iraqw

The Maasai are the most famous tribe in Tanzania, but there are more than 150 other tribes in Tanzania. The Iraqw tribe lives mainly in the region close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and some of its members still live in traditional housing. A visit to their village teaches you more about their lifestyle, allows you to enter the houses and talk to some people. You also learn about the history of this tribe, which includes a war they once waged with neighboring Maasai.
