Lemosho Route 8 days, day 2: Big Tree Camp (2,780 m/ 9,121 ft) - Shira 1 Camp (3,505 m/ 11,499 ft)

An early morning wake-up call, breakfast and a gradual ascent to 3,505 meters – here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Shira Plateau and the Kibo Volcano for the first time! Your hike to Shira 1 high mountain camp is quite easy and takes about 5-6 hours. This helps you to begin the acclimatization process, which is a pillar of good trekking. When you get to the camp, you have lunch and the option to rest in your tent or take a walk in the area.
