Kijongo Bay Beach Resort

The Kijongo Bay Beach Resort lies on a pristine stretch of beach close to Saadani National Park, on the northeast coast of Tanzania. The resort offers luxury two-story beach villas with kingsize beds downstairs and smaller double beds upstairs. Ensuite bathrooms are located downstairs, while the upper floors boast verandas with sumptuous daybeds overlooking the ocean. Families can also choose to stay in the Boma House with two ensuite bedrooms and a small sitting area.
The restaurant at Kijongo offers a set menu of lovely, fresh dishes (including a kids’ menu), written daily on a blackboard so you can inform the staff of any dietary wishes. A swimming pool helps to cool down, as does the ocean at just a few steps away. Activities include kayaking, snorkelling, turtle watching or river cruises, but as the top one ‘do nothing’ is listed.
