Tanzania Specialist was founded in 2015 by Dutch entrepreneur Robbin Meulemans and Tanzanian guide and entrepreneur Epimark Bernard. Offering specialised Tanzania private tours, our English-speaking expert safari and travel guides provide unique travel experiences for memories that last a lifetime.

Our Mission

Our mission has been the same from day one: to provide travellers with the best experience of Tanzania possible. This extends to every aspect of the Tanzania travel experience. From bespoke Tanzania travel itineraries that tick all the boxes, to the five-star lodges and safari accommodation options included on Tanzania Specialist trips. In fact, we partner with over 100 hotels and lodges across Tanzania, all personally assessed by our on-site team of professionals.

Our Story

Born from a passion for immersive, safe travel in Tanzania, it took just one unforgettable tour of Tanzania for Robbin and his wife to fall in love with the magic of Tanzania. Identifying a huge gap in the market for high-quality, private tour operations in the country, Robbin teamed up with one of Tanzania’s best safari and luxury travel guides in the country: Epimark Bernard. The next few years saw Tanzania Specialist attract thousands of clients around the world to Tanzania’s lush lands. The company now boasts a full-time staff of 30 in Arusha and the Netherlands. Today the Meulemans split their time between Tanzania and the Netherlands, while Epimark manages the office in Tanzania.
