Magoroto Forest Estate

Magoroto Forest Estate is a lodge and campsite in the middle of a tropical rainforest on the eastern patch of the Usambara Mountains, close to the city of Tanga. Located on a mountain leading up to an amazingly beautiful T-shaped lake surrounded by lush rainforest, it offers rooms in a main house away from the lake (with WiFi) and lake-side wooden A-frame cottages with shared bathrooms, small tents under thatched roofs and lovely ensuite cabins. When sleeping at the lake, there is no connectivity, which creates the perfect opportunity to go off-grid.

Magoroto is the ideal place outdoors far away from mass tourism, where temperatures are pleasant all year round as the estate is situated at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level.
