andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge sits perched on the edge of a three million year old caldera, where it consists of three enormous camps with 30 roomy plush suites decorated in a Victorian, sumptuous style. This is a place where you are truly pampered from finish to end, with both suites for couples as well as coupled suites for families.

Dinners are lovely with chefs producing delectable entrees using fresh organic produce provided by local farmers. Here you feast in the lodge’s restaurant, or comfortably on your own terrace outside, where you look out over one of Africa’s natural wonders: the Ngorongoro crater. As the sun then sinks into the clouds, it’s up to you to enjoy some private time, and summon a personal butler to bring you steaming hot tea in bed, create a flickering blaze in your private fire place, or draw you a soothing bath in a grand stand-alone tub.

But you can also indulge in wine tasting within the lodge’s wine store and cap your evening with an in-room massage. Evening hikes are a nice time to reflect on the day’s activities. As you return, and if you are lucky, you might hear the mighty Maasai warriors harmonious chant, as they pass by somewhere close along the vast crater.
