Meru House Lekisilai

Deep in the suburbs of Arusha, nestled in a coffee estate bordering the Maasai country, lies a beautiful private refuge called Meru House Lekisilai. Half of its name derives from the majestic Mount Meru, from which there is an unrivalled view from the hotel. The second half, Lekisilai, honours the name of another nearby mountain, held sacred by the Maasai. The lodge was once built as a family home, designed by the architect owner, and boasts six tastefully decorated rooms named after birds you can see and hear around the lodge.
